Beneath the South exists to find those stories — and tell them the way they deserve to be told. We're a history and travel content brand based in South Carolina, producing videos and articles that go beyond the surface of Southern culture.

We operate two YouTube channels. The history channel is where we dig into the people, events, and legends that shaped the South — from colonial conflicts and Civil War battlegrounds to folk mythology and the kind of local history that never made it into the textbooks.

The food and travel channel is where we hit the road. Hidden state parks. Roadside institutions. Small towns with outsized personalities. We're less interested in telling you where to eat and more interested in showing you why a place matters — the history behind the menu, the landscape that shaped the culture, the things you'd only find out by showing up.
